Livestock Systems in the Chaco Region
We use largely untapped spatial datasets on livestock, including vaccination, registers, and transaction data, and apply active learning and decision trees to classify and map major livestock systems at scale.
Confinement areas in the South American dry diagonal
We use Sentinel 1 and 2 imagery to reliably map three types of confinement areas: (a) large feedlots, (b) other concentrated animal feeding operations, and (c) supplementary feeding areas.
Land Systems in Dry Chaco and Chiquitano Forests
We developed an approach to capture the complex and contested nature of land use by mapping it as social-ecological systems that can overlap in space and mapped it for Dry Chaco and Chiquitano Forests in South America.
